Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said two women with open warrants, a man and a juvenile are charged with retail theft-organized crime.

HUMBLE, Texas — Four family members were busted after stealing bags full of cosmetics from a Kroger in Humble, according to Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman. He said the makeup and skin care products were worth $4,000.

It started Thursday evening when deputies responded to a theft in progress call at the Kroger on Cypresswood Drive near FM 1960. They spotted the suspects leaving the scene and stopped their vehicle.

Two women, a man and a juvenile were arrested and charged with organized crime-retail theft. They’re all related, according to Precinct 4.

Valerie Gonzales had three open warrants in Harris County: one for felony evading and two for theft, according to Herman.

Herman said Shermiah Roberts initially lied about her name and birthday because she had an open warrant in Montgomery County for theft.

The third suspect was identified as Charles James.

All three were booked into the Harris County Jail.

The juvenile was turned over to the Juvenile Probation Center.  His name won’t be released because of his age.

The huge haul of cosmetics was returned to Kroger.
