Caroline County sees second farm’s flock test positive for bird flu
A second Caroline County farm is dealing with bird flu cases among its flock. The farm is near the previous farm whose flock tested positive.Birds from the affected flock will not enter the food system.It represents Maryland’s third known case of bird flu affecting a commercial farm. A farm in Queen Anne’s County also had its flock test positive.The Department of Agriculture is monitoring presumptive positive cases among snow geese in Dorchester and Worcester counties.So far there have been no human cases in Maryland.
