FRANKLIN TWP. ― Community members looking to dispose of old electronics can recycle them at an upcoming event at the Riverside School District.

Officials from Franklin Township announced they will be hosting an electronic recycling drive at the school district from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 15. The drive-up event is completely free and requires no reservations.

According to event organizers, the drive will accept computers, laptops, monitors, mice, keyboards, speakers, printers, copiers and fax machines. In addition to computer equipment, they will accept televisions of all sizes, scanners, radios, telephone equipment and gaming consoles.

Items not accepted include smoke detectors, hygiene equipment, medical equipment, loose batteries, paper, software, VCR tapes and general rubbish. Community members with questions about what can be recycled can call 724-758-9702 with additional questions.
