A chaotic brawl broke out at an Edinburgh beauty spot on Friday evening which saw one teenager be rushed to hospital.
On Friday, March 21, several reports were made to police of antisocial behaviour and an assault at Portobello Beach. Shocking footage shared with Edinburgh Live shows a large group of young individuals dressed in black, with some in balaclavas, involved in a confrontation.
In the clip, youths can be seen throwing bottles across the sand while they hurl abuse and shout at each other.

One bottle can be heard smashing against a bin as glass shatters on the ground. The two groups then become involved in a skirmish.
On Saturday, we reported a 16-year-old was rushed to hospital after sustaining an injury on Friday evening. Police have confirmed inquiries are ongoing into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On the evening of Friday, March 21, 2025, several reports were made of antisocial behaviour and an assault in the Portobello Beach area of Edinburgh were made to police.
“One 16-year-old male youth sustained an injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries into the assault and antisocial behaviour are ongoing.”
