Older Future has shared his new single ‘The Confession’.
The electronic figure made his debut in 2021, independently releasing his single ‘Shame’. A breakout moment – it’s amassed almost half a million streams to date – the drop kickstarted his catalogue, and ignited his ambitions.
Amid a flurry of summer releases from the producer, new single ‘The Confession’ stands out. An atmospheric dose of audio painting, aspects of it recall Aphex Twin or Boards Of Canada, while the skittering beats point to The Prodigy.
Refusing to be hemmed in, Older Future’s work relies on that tension between tone and rhythm, between club use and introspective listening. He comments…
“This song was born from a moment of raw honesty, a conversation that blurred the line between paranoia and everyday thought. It’s a reflection on how fragile our sense of reality can be, and how easily we can slip into something deeper without understanding it.”
Out now, ‘The Confession’ is coupled to a new video – tap in below.
