Shop Baseball, Y’all Collab at The Dessert Gallery

Dessert Gallery, 3600 Kirby, is teaming up with Julia Morales and her brand, Shop Baseball, Y’all, for a limited-time lineup of baseball-themed cookies and dog treats—available now through May 3. Fans can snag limited-edition baseball-themed cookies and pup treats at both Dessert Gallery locations and online, and a portion of proceeds will go to Houston Pets Alive.

Burger Omakase at Burger Bodega

Chef Abbas Dhanani of Burger Bodega, 4520 Washington, will host a “Burger Omakase” dinner with James Beard finalist and chef Thomas Bille of Belly of the Beast. Guests can expect a multi-course tasting menu not limited to burgers, followed by a dessert course by Underground Creamery. Reservations are ($120) are available at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Flavors in Bloom: A Dinner Series Celebrating Spring at Le Jardinier

Le Jardinier, 5500 Main, will celebrate spring with Flavors in Bloom: A Dinner Series Celebrating Spring – a Michelin-starred, five-course dinner by Alain Verzeroli and chef Felipe Botero. For $195, guests can indulge in vibrant dishes like poached white asparagus, Maine lobster, wagyu striploin and mango bliss desser; and add optional pairings for $125 or $185 premium. Reservations are available via Resy.

Ridge Vineyards Wine Dinner at Brennan’s of Houston

Folks can check out Brennan’s new Courtyard Bar with a four-course dinner and wine pairing on Thursday, May 1. Dig into BBQ Shrimp and Grits, Creole Lamb Meatballs and Steak Stanley, each paired with a thoughtfully selected wine from Ridge Vineyards. Tickets are $118 plus tax and gratuity.

Cinco de Mayo at Flora Mexican Kitchen


Flora Mexican Kitchen, 3422 Allen Parkway, is going big for Cinco de Mayo with a four-day fiesta. Expect live entertainment, specialty cocktails and an epic patio party. The main bash is Saturday, featuring a live DJ, taco cart, satellite bar, mariachi band and free tequila tastings. All weekend, enjoy two exclusive margaritas and brunch with a live Spanish guitarist from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The party wraps Monday with all-day happy hour: $11 snacks like street tacos al pastor, $9 margs and wine, and $4 beers.

11th Annual Kentucky Derby Party at Julep

Alba Huerta’s award-winning bar Julep, 1919 Washington, is throwing its 11th Annual Kentucky Derby Party, bringing together over 600 guests for an afternoon of Southern elegance, fresh cocktails and fun kicking off at 1 p.m. Guests can expect a floral wonderland with over 5,000 fresh-cut flowers, a full tented setup, multiple bars, live music, premium cigars, Instagrammable installations and of course—ice-cold Mint Juleps. Tickets are $20.

Wine Dest: Derby Down the Bayou at Brenneri’s on the Bayou

Brenner’s on the Bayou, 1 Birdsall, brings back Wine Fest: Derby Down the Bayou, held from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sip from over 30 elite wines, enjoy bites from top Houston spots, and dress to impress for the Big Hat Contest; and after the event, guests are invited to stay and watch the race al fresco at Blue Bar. Tickets are $150 or $250 for VIP, which includes early entry at 1:30 p.m., exclusive pours and access to the VIP White House.

Washington Ave’s best watering holes and kitchens invite folks for a thrilling fiesta-themed Tacos & Margs Crawl. Expect tacos, margaritas and fun at spots like Sincerely Tipsy, Lincoln Bar, Clutch Bar and Sugar Room. Tickets start at $24.99.

Sunday, May 4

Rosé Brunch at Marvino’s Italian Steakhouse

Marvino’s Italian Steakhouse, 24002 Northwest Freeway, invites guests to a refined Rosé Brunch, featuring three courses paired with exceptional rosés from the Côtes de Provence region of France before finishing with a final celebratory glass. Dine on Smoked Salmon and Avocado Tartine, Lobster Eggs Benedict and more. Brunch begins at noon and cost is $69 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

All month long

Crawfish Ramen at Ramen Tatsu-ya

Ramen Tatsu-ya, 1722 California, is bringing back the Crawmen, running now through May 28. The Cajun-inspired ramen delivers a spicy, buttery kick with a base of crawfish tonkotsu broth, loaded with crawfish tails, andouille sausage and a Southern succotash of corn and bell peppers.

Rockets Playoffs at Christian’s Tailgate

Christian’s Tailgate will have the sound on at all locations for every Rockets game and will be offering $20 buckets of beer for the playoffs, plus festive Clutch City Ranch Waters for $12 and a Nütrl promotion, with $4 Nütrls for first playoff round, $3 Nütrls for the conference semi-finals, , $2 Nütrls for the conference final (Best of 7 games) and $1 Nütrls for the championship game.
