THE WHAT? Unilever has appointed Srinivas Phatak as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, following an internal and external search.
THE DETAILS Phatak has been serving as acting CFO since February 2025, when he was promoted from his role as Deputy CFO and Group Controller. The Unilever Board unanimously approved his permanent appointment after the formal search process.
As CFO, Phatak also joins Unilever’s Board and Leadership Executive. His remuneration package includes fixed annual pay of €1.175 million, eligibility for annual bonus and performance share awards, and localisation support, in line with the company’s policy. He continues to serve as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Coats Group plc.
THE WHY? The appointment provides leadership continuity for Unilever as the company pursues margin expansion and growth targets, reinforcing the role of financial strategy in navigating challenging consumer markets.
